The problem
Beyond the two flagship platforms, VSoft’s client institutions — Corporate America Credit Union, Point Bank, Christian Investors Financial, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Citibank US, and several Indian cooperative banks among them — each needed a portfolio of smaller banking utilities: check and item capture, single sign-on, payments, account management, and more, all needing to look and behave consistently with each other.
My role
Specialist Application Design (Technical Team Lead) across this portfolio — leading architecture and technology selection, managing the team assigned to each utility, and staying directly involved in client scope discussions.
Approach
Delivered a family of related systems across the client base: a mobile check/cheque recognition SDK (Android and iOS, using OpenCV and platform vision frameworks) for Christian Investors Financial and Point Bank; an Item Scanner service (Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, AWS) for check image capture; a Check Truncation Portal for Kotak Mahindra Bank; Vantage, a single sign-on system for Corporate America Credit Union; an Account Management System and a Corporate Checking / Positive Pay module; Merchant and Branch Item Capture apps on Android and iOS; a payments module covering ACH, geolocation, and BIC operations; a chatbot for Shri Arihant Co-op. Bank and Allahabad Bank; and Roots, a shared UI platform for Odisha State Cooperative Bank and Karnataka State Co-Operative Apex Bank.
Outcome
A consistent, reusable set of banking utilities in production across more than half a dozen US credit unions and Indian cooperative banks — sharing architecture and UI patterns with Arya and Wings rather than being built as one-offs per client.
