The problem
Bank of Baroda’s lending business spans a wide product range — auto, two-wheeler, tractor, gold, personal, and education loans among others — each with its own UI codebase on an older Angular version, plus native iOS and Android SDKs that needed to keep pace without disrupting live releases.
My role
Engineering Manager, COE UI — owned the UI modernization and mobile-SDK roadmap across the BOB account, coordinating delivery across more than eight product lines in parallel with the team’s other concurrent client engagements.
Approach
Modernized the shared Angular codebase underneath BOB’s product suite from v8 to v14 as part of the same phased migration used across the team’s other clients, timed to run inside BOB’s own delivery windows rather than a dedicated freeze. Built and maintained native iOS and Android mobile SDKs alongside the web UI work, and brought FlutterFlow in as a pilot on the BOB Android SDK — one of the first production uses of the tooling on this account.
Outcome
Eight-plus BOB product lines — Auto Loan, Two-Wheeler, Tractor, BKCC, AHFKCC, PQPL, PMV, Education Loan, and Gold Loan among them — modernized without disrupting the bank’s active delivery schedule, alongside working iOS and Android mobile SDKs.
