The problem
Customers without cash or a card still need to pay — often urgently — and banks, including cooperative banks, need a way to compete with mobile wallets without becoming one.
What Jeb does
Jeb lets users receive and pay money instantly using only their phone, transferring directly into the merchant’s bank account over UPI.
- Multi-mode interface — manual entry, voice commands and a QR code scanner, for users and merchants alike.
- Multiple bank accounts in one app — add several accounts, see their balances at once, and pay from any of them.
- Your language — users choose the language they interact in, including by voice.
- A payment channel, not a wallet — built so banks can offer wallet-style convenience on their own accounts.
Recognition
Jeb won the hackathon organized by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), among more than 3,800 participating companies, and was developed further as a platform for sectors including cooperative banks.
