The problem
Banks trying to reach rural communities without branch infrastructure rely on Business Correspondents (BCs) — local agents who deliver banking services on the bank’s behalf. Those agents need a lightweight tool that works where they work, gives them exactly the permissions the regulator and the bank allow, and still lets the bank stay in control.
My role
UI Lead & Architect — led the product’s UI and its architecture.
What VAYU does
- Doorstep banking on smartphones and tablets, so customers don’t need to visit a branch.
- Account opening and insurance product sales by the agent.
- Role-restricted administration, with service permissions configurable to match regulatory requirements.
- A 360-degree customer view to support credit assessment.
- Local remarks for managing customer relationships.
The result for the bank: a bigger customer base and wider geographic reach without opening new branches.
